66Eco-friendly ideas and concepts have been there for ages, but to what extend do you practice ‘green’ ideas in real life? One of the easiest ways to spread the 'green' concept is to avoid using paper in gift-wrapping.
At the end of the day, most wrapping papers will go into bins anyway.
Below are some ideas on sustainable gift presenting.
Use Reusable shopping bags or gift bags
Many shops nowadays provide reusable shopping bags made of fabric, recycled cotton or paper. These lovely bags are very handy for you to put your presents in. Besides shopping bags you got from shops, you can also consider using gift bags to wrap your gift, which is a conveniently- reusable object that your gift receiver and reuse in future.
Use Reusable Containers
Containers like cookie tins, glass jars or any reusable containers that you can think of are actually great ideas to present your gifts. The container itself is already an additional gift for your receiver! To add some seasonal taste to your container, you can use ribbons to decorate the jars or tins, which in turn can be reused as well.
Use Ribbon, Leftover Yarn or Decoration Materials
As a matter of fact, you can wrap most gifts in a ribbons, preferably fabric ones which is handy to reuse. You can also put you personal greetings on the ribbon.
Materials like leftover yarns from knitting, or used decoration materials from a birthday party, for instance, are also lovely materials for presenting a gift.

Use Baby blankets or Fabrics
Any parents would know that the expenses for having a newborn baby could be tremendous. Giving Christmas gifts wrapped in soft baby blankets would be a very welcoming idea for parents.
Using fabrics is also a good idea, as your gift receiver can reuse the fabric for any other purposes easily. Wrapping presents in fabric is nothing new for Japanese for centuries already.
Is Wrapping Essential?
Try to be creative in presenting your gifts to your loved ones this year. There are no strict rules forcing you to wrap your presents in paper. It is the love and care that you’ve put in your gifts that counts.
